The three books -- Dance Upon the Air, Heaven and Earth, and Face the Fire -- are set on a tiny Island off the coast of Massachusetts, named appropriately, Three Sisters Island. Legend has it, as Roberts writes, that the island broke free from the mainland through a spell cast by three women.
Two hundred years later, three women meet seemingly by chance: Nell, a woman on the run from her abusive husband, Ripley, a tough cookie cop who doesn't believe in her own power, and Mia, a business woman whose heart was smashed into pieces as a teen.
Can these women break the curse placed upon their rock of land? Will they overcome their obstacles and find the love they seek?
